Position Details

The Information Management and Technology Division guides the Departments' digital capability and is leading digital transformation for the Department including Victorian government schools. The Division architects, manages and supports the largest technology network in Victoria, supporting a user base of approximately 750,000 staff and students.

IMTD provides innovation and leadership in the transformation and management of the Department's digital capability through the implementation of solutions on the department's cloud environment (IaaS), enterprise cloud platforms (PaaS) and software (SaaS), using agile practices with a focus on user experience, security, and integration.

About the opportunity

A fantastic Ongoing opportunity for a Device Insurance Manager within the IT Services Branch / Service Delivery where you will lead and manage insurance provision for devices and associated services provided under the Service Delivery Unit, in particular teacher and student devices.

The role will have a strong focus on:

  • Contract management
  • Efficient and effective service delivery and;
  • High levels of client satisfaction

Key elements of the role include:

  • Management and execution of device insurance services provided by contracted suppliers.
  • Efficient, effective, and timely management of associated budgets proactive management of data.
  • Planning and reporting across device insurance programs.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will:

  • Have a passion to support Victorian Government Schools with high quality customer service and support via multiple communication channels.
  • Demonstrate organisational and time management skills, including the ability to work under pressure Have attention to detail and accuracy, in particular on reporting and sharing information Know how to communicate, engage stakeholders and collaboration skills, establishing you as a solid source of advice and guidance.
  • Have advanced knowledge and experience using a range of applications including Microsoft Office, Excel, Project, and SharePoint
  • At least 5 years' experience in the management of insurance processes and claims management.
