The Higher Education and Skills Group within the Department of Education and Training is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated professional to undertake the role of Manager, Industries and Initiatives.

The Manager will contribute towards the delivery of efficient and effective funding programs with a particular focus on workforce development and innovation.

You will manage the Workforce Training Innovation Fund; prepare high quality ministerial and departmental briefs, correspondence and reports in relation to the program; lead the implementation of continuous improvement in program management processes; and provide team leadership, mentoring and support to team members.

In this role you will be required to have an understanding of key phases of the program lifecycle and apply this knowledge to grant project management; competent in utilising system driven tools to manage programs or projects; recognise the links to and between programs and the Department's strategic objectives; and have strong people management skills.
