Senior Projects Officer

The Senior Project Officer role requires strong project and stakeholder management skills and has the following responsibilities: - Ensuring Learn Local providers support the increased participation, engagement of disadvantaged learners to pathway into education, training and/or employment. - Supporting the provision of pre-accredited programs by Learn Local providers with consideration of learner pathways into TAFE and other education programs - Facilitating partnership brokerage between providers and through local networks to support increased participation of educationally disadvantaged learners - Managing and administering contracts and performance monitoring of Learn Local providers across the region - Providing secretariat and other support to ACFE Regional Councils

Position Details

Senior Projects Officer | Ongoing/Full-Time

The ACFE North Eastern Region unit is in the Adult Community and Further Education Division and facilitates the provision of quality pre-accredited training for educationally disadvantaged learners. The unit covers both the Eastern Metropolitan and Hume regions and also works closely with Learn Local providers, employers and industry to support and enable training provision.

The Senior Project Officer role works in a small regional team that works with Learn Local sectors within the region to support and enable place based training to meet the needs of learners, communities and employers.

The position requires knowledge and skills in contract, project and stakeholder management. You will be required to work with Learn Local providers to respond to local learning needs, gather local intelligence and data, administer and monitor contracts, identify and broker placed based partnerships to increase participation and engagement of learners.

A background in adult education would be an advantage along with strong word and excel skills.
