TMS manages the delivery of the government subsidised VET training market in Victoria including contracting and paying training providers, ensuring contract compliance, strengthening the VET system through coordinated engagement with training providers and maintaining a continued focus on operational improvement.

Position Details

This role sits within the Provider Management Unit (PMU) and reports to the Manager, PMU. PMU is responsible for the oversight of VET funding contracts and the relationship with contracted training providers, including managing requests for contract changes, undertaking payment functions and an enhanced case management of compliance and assurance activities.

To be successful in their role, the Project Officer in PMU is a flexible, self-directed officer capable of organising and completing set tasks on time and to the standard required. The Project Officer has solid written and verbal communication skills and is able to build and sustain productive relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. The Project Officer is able to undertake complex or technical investigations of data or information that informs their preparation of reports, briefings, correspondence and other materials related to the assessment of performance, compliance or leading to operational improvements in the Managed Market.
