An exciting opportunity is now available within the Industry Initiative Unit of the Department of Education and Training for a Senior Data Analyst. In this role, the Senior Data Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day management and analysis of multiple data sources and financial information used to enable delivery of targeted funding streams that support the training and TAFE system to respond to industry and workforce needs. The role is fixed term.

Position Details

An exciting opportunity is now available within the Industry Initiative Unit of the Department of Education and Training for a Senior Data Analyst.

The successful applicant will:

• analyse data, with the ability to pick up key trends and make comparisons and translate this into a commentary that can be easily understood;

•provide technical leadership and apply data analysis skills to ensure quality of data used to underpin funding decisions;
• enable the provision of accurate and timely reports to key business users, including the use of visual formats to convey key messages;
• provide reports on complex issues using multiple data sets that are sourced and can be replicated, which are used by a range of audiences for decision-making;
• manage risks associated with the business systems, and lead projects to improve business systems including business intelligence;
• manage IT stakeholder relationships supporting project implementation.
