Position Details


The incumbent will be required to work with key stakeholders within the Higher Education and Skills Group (HESG) to effectively capture and interpret Business Intelligence and reporting requirements.

This will include; • Assisting stakeholders to frame requirements where they may not know what outcomes are possible with their data; • Working closely with Skills Victoria Business Intelligence (SVBI) developers to ensure deliverables are relevant and fit for purpose; • Managing business expectations with regard to what may/may not be feasible within the given timeframe; • Ensuring that all required information is provided by appointed HESG data custodians relating to new datasets and their intended use; • Ensuring that user acceptance testing is conducted by appropriate staff in a timely manner; • Chairing the Technical Data Working Group. This group has a membership from all the data users groups within the Division and is constantly working on improvements to Information Management and Business Intelligence reporting within the Department; and • Delivering outcomes as set out in the VET Systems roadmap.
