An opportunity exists for a highly self-motivated digital marketing expert to join the Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) as Digital Communications Lead. The VSBA is part of the Victorian Government’s commitment to making Victoria the Education State. This role will lead digital communications across a significant school infrastructure program, and provide direction to the VSBA's digital team. The digital team includes social media, graphic design, videography and website management.

Position Details

This position is part of the Corporate Communications team in the Victorian School Building Authority (the VSBA).

The VSBA is responsible for:

• Delivering the Government's $2.5 billion infrastructure projects for schools and early childhood centres

• Researching and implementing new innovative ways of building, design and delivery

• Focusing on community engagement so that communities get the educational facilities they need and know what is happening locally.

The VSBA is engaging with the community on flagship school infrastructure projects as well as highlighting the efficient delivery of 56 new schools and more than 1000 school building projects.

This role will involve leading the implementation of the VSBA social media strategy.

The role includes:

• responsibility for the corporate website and social media presence

• development and implementation of the Authority's online strategy in alignment with the business objectives

• management of day-to-day online communications

• working with the team to devise and run creative online campaigns

• undertaking monthly reporting and campaign evaluation

• responsibility for the VSBA brand • provision of advice on digital communications to the rest of the organisation

• managing briefing processes and client liaison with other teams.

The digital team, and broader Corporate Communications team, works in a flat structured, fast-paced environment similar to a start-up organisation. The VSBA launched in August last year, and the team has created our digital presence from scratch and has quickly built a great reputation for outstanding innovative digital communication. We are looking for someone to help take the VSBA digital channels to the next level of reach and engagement, through implementing our content strategy across website, design, social media and email. We are seeking interest from a smart, capable and motivated digital communications professional to join our Corporate Communications team.
