Project Officer

The position is within a team that is responsible for inputting all land and building data (usually received as architectural drawings) from over 1800 school campus sites, an asset portfolio in excess of $20bn. The data is used for many purposes including relocatable movements, financial reporting, school funding for cleaning, maintenance and essential safety as well as asset planning. The team is responsible for conducting a high volume of work under tight timelines, and regular communication is required with stakeholders. Attention to detail is a must in this role due to the high reliance on the asset data for many varied activities and reporting throughout the Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) and the wider Department.

Position Details

The successful applicant will be responsible for capturing, updating and reporting all physical land and building asset information in the Department's Asset Management System, Atrium. They will lead Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and asset data operations, and drive improvements to processes and data capture within the team. The successful individual will need to exhibit sound conceptual ability to work through problems, and will be expected to advise or consult on activities relating to or impacting on asset data and CAD. They will also provide guidance to others in the team, including prioritisation of work and regular monitoring and reporting of team activities.

You will be expected to provide advice and liaise with other stakeholders that have no knowledge in this area. You will also be required to provide a strong emphasis on the positive promotion of the team and its work to the broader VSBA and schools.
