Senior Software Developer - VPS6 - Ongoing, Full-time

About the opportunity

A fantastic, ongoing opportunity for a senior software developer within the Digital Innovation Branch within the Enterprise Digital Innovation Platforms Unit.

The Senior software developer will be responsible to determine and identify high-level functional and technical requirements based on interactions with the user community and knowledge of enterprise architecture by providing technical leadership to a team of application developers. Addressing the agile product backlog through development sprints and delivery and maintenance of technical documentation and support CRM applications built on Salesforce platform.

About the team

This role sits within the Enterprise Digital Innovation Platforms Unit that embraces iterative, agile software delivery and regular release cadence and works collaboratively with stakeholders and partners building new products to achieve business outcomes for the Department across all portfolios.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Contemporary knowledge of information management technologies and their application within a business context.
  • Technical competence in Web Services development and Salesforce API.
  • Have the ability to research, analyse and recommend solution options and design patterns to support effective configuration and development
  • Sound understanding of CICD Framework, code repositries GIT, BitBucket, Azure
  • Deep programming language knowledge
  • Demonstrated experience in executing testing (SIT, UAT, Alpha / Beta testing phases etc)
  • Experience debugging distributed systems with high data loads
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of distributed data model
  • Solid understanding of the Software as a Service (SaaS) model in the online environment
