Procurement Analyst

The purpose of this role is to provide procurement and analytical expertise, including research, cost modelling and analytical support services, to inform procurement and category management decision making and strategy. In this role you will: work with the corporate procurement team to assess their business needs and contribute to the development of procurement activities; apply analytical tools, techniques and systems to analyse and interpret a wide range of supplier and organisational information and options to support procurement planning and decision making; undertake research of supply markets to identify opportunities and inform sourcing strategies; and develop and provide reports to support effective management of supplier performance.

Position Details

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced procurement analyst to provide analysis and assist in the delivery of value-for-money outcomes for the Department.  Integral to this position will be your ability to engage with a broad range of stakeholders, your responsiveness, customer focus and ability to undertake procurement analytics for the procurement team as directed.

To succeed in this role, you will have demonstrated experience as a procurement analyst, an understanding of the public sector environment and a strong customer focus.  In addition, you will have excellent interpersonal and communications skills.  A tertiary qualification in any discipline is desirable.
