Languages Support Officer

An exciting opportunity exists for a fixed term position for a highly motivated team player to coordinate and administer the delivery of the North East Victoria Region Language Education Program across the region. This position works across the entire region including Goulburn, Ovens-Murray, Outer and Inner East areas. The role requires excellent negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills along with strong influencing skills. Building and maintaining productive relationships with key corporate and school stakeholders will be critical in maintaining quality language programs.

Position Details


Working as part of a broader multi-disciplinary team the Languages Support Officer North East Victoria Region leads the delivery of the languages education program across the region. Supporting school networks and school communities to improve and extend quality languages education is a key role of this position as is identifying and promoting best practice examples of languages education across the region.




The role also involves working collaboratively with the Virtual Learning Coach to facilitate and support the access to virtual delivery of online language learning opportunities especially across clusters of schools.




Providing expert advice in the area of languages education that is aligned with and supports the Victorian Government's priorities for Languages Education and related implementation plan, is also a key driver of this role.
