2 x Speech Pathologist

An exciting opportunity exists for a Speech Pathologist to join the Student Support Services team working in the Outer East Network of schools. The successful applicant will be required to provide a range of supports to schools within the network. Flexibility, the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and the capability to work autonomously when required are key requirements for this position. This is a fixed term position, replacing a staff member on leave. The position is based at Lilydale Heights Secondary College and will service schools within the Yarra Ranges LGA comprising the Dandenong Ranges and Lilydale Networks.

The purpose of Student Support Services is to assist children and young people facing a range of barriers to learning to achieve their educational and developmental potential through the provision of a range of strategies and specialised support at individual, group, school and network levels.

Student Support Services comprise a broad range of professionals including psychologists, speech pathologists and social workers. Student Support Services Officers work as part of an integrated health and wellbeing team within networks of schools, focusing on providing group based and individual support, workforce capacity building, and the provision of specialised services.

Student Support Services (SSS) do vital work in supporting students' health and wellbeing – particularly our most vulnerable students – and SSS are critical to building an excellent education system that reduces the impact of disadvantage.
