Position Details

The Manager Service Support is responsible for a range of programs including, Early Childhood, Provision and planning, Koorie Education Services, youth transitions and Community Liaison Officers who manage the complaints process across the area. Working closely with other members of the leadership team you will be responsible for developing a multi-disciplinary team able to provide the necessary advice and practical assistance to principals and early childhood providers.

The primary responsibilities of this role are to manage a diverse group of staff in the Service Support Branch, who are members of a larger area-level multi-disciplinary area team. Key functions in the Branch, some of which are shared across multiple areas include: 0-18 transitions and youth pathways and programs, provision planning, community liaison, supporting the education of Koorie children and young people, languages and English as an additional language. This role will participate as a member of the area's leadership team, assisting the Education Area Executive Director and Senior Education Improvement Leaders to establish and promote local structures to support early childhood providers and schools in the area. It will also maintain strong relationships with key functions in the region's two Divisions.

The role is responsible for between approximately 6 FTE. It is required to promote and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external early childhood, education and training stakeholders, facilitating wrap-around support for children and young people, a school or group of schools, or a system-wide issue.
