The purpose of this role is to support regional coordination of the Head Start initiative and Head Start integration with the aligned suite of career education and vocational pathways reforms at the regional level. This involves a core focus on driving continuous improvement and quality in vocational learning opportunities and post-school outcomes for students, including through VET and school-based apprenticeships and traineeships.

Position Details

The role will assit in building the capacity of schools to devlop sustainable partnerships with industry, employers, Local Learning and Employment Networks (LLEN), TAFE and other registered training providers as well as higher education providers to support the delivery of Head Start and other school based apprenticeships and traineeships, VET and the suite of careers reforms in government schools. This includes supporting the establishment of local School-Industry Roundtables and supporting the operations of local Head Start cluster arrangements.

The position also provides specialist support to school based careers and VET practitioners and Head Start co-coordinators to implement and integrate career and pathway programs, including Head Start, through informed course and career decisions for students, aligned to industry needs.
