The Strategic Communications Manager plays a key role in the development and delivery of strategic communications for the Department of Education and Training. The role is responsible for managing key relationship across the Department, understanding the policy direction and the Government's Education State vision and translating this into communications programs that inform and engage our target audiences. The Manager takes the lead on the Department's communication strategy, and working with groups to plan a narrative that aligns with the Department's policy strategy.

Position Details

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly self-motivated team player to lead a team of advisors who are responsible for project managing major communication activity. The successful candidate will work closely with managers in the Communications Division and across the Department to deliver a coordinated approach to communications.

As a part of the managerial team in the Communications Division, the Strategic Communications Managers has a key responsibility in championing best practice in communication across the Department and in leading the communication of the policy priorities of the Education State. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a government setting, strong project management skills and an ability to develop and manage relationships within and outside the organisation.
