Portfolio Services Officer

The primary role of the Portfolio Services Officer is to provide advice and support in relation to executive and ministerial services functions such as briefings and correspondence processes, parliamentary inquiries, royal commissions and appointments. The Portfolio Services Officer contributes to the delivery of a range of projects and portfolio services such as the preparation of briefings on non-DET Cabinet submissions and divisional performance reporting for the Executive Board. The Portfolio Services Officer also works with the Portfolio Services Team Leader and the Departmental Liaison Unit Manager to deliver administrative support functions and resources for ministers' offices in periods of surge activity or otherwise as required.

To succeed in this multi-faceted role, you will have a positive attitude and demonstrated stakeholder management and relationship building skills. Your flexible approach and highly developed customer service and organisational skills will be critical, as will the ability to deliver timely outcomes in a busy environment.

In addition, you will have excellent written and verbal communications skills and preferably be tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline with a sound knowledge of project management principles.
