Position Details

PRINCIPAL HEALTH AND WELLBEING STRATEGY LEAD

This role leads the Principal Health and Wellbeing Strategy and team, reporting to the Director, Employee Health Safety and Wellbeing.

The primary responsibility of this role is to continue the leadership of the Principal Health and Wellbeing Strategy, including the governance and overarching project management of the pilots, services and other activities that span Divisions. The Strategy is a systematic approach to protecting, promoting and addressing principal health and wellbeing. The team also manages the evaluation and budget strategies, and currently includes a Senior Strategy/Project Officer and a Senior Organisational Psychologist.

This role will also examine and scope additional strategies or approaches to improve the health and wellbeing of our diverse workforces aligned to the whole of Victorian Government Mental Health and Wellbeing Charter. It will also lead key activities as agreed with the Director in the delivery of the Strategy Review of Employee Health Safety and Wellbeing.

The role requires high level consultation and stakeholder management skills and an ability to engage with senior Department staff, school principals and peak industrial organisations. It also requires strategic project management and assurance skills, and the ability to oversee complex strategy, research and communications initiatives.
