Senior Lawyer, Legislation and Government Law

There are a variety of exciting opportunities available to work as a Senior Lawyer within the Department of Education and Training's Legal Division. The Legislation and Government Law Unit (LGLU), which sits in the Commercial and Legislation (CAL) branch is seeking at least two Senior Lawyers, for an ongoing position and one fixed term position. The Legal Division provides highly valued legal services across the Department's portfolios which include early childhood, schools, higher education, and training and skills.

Position Details

An exciting opportunity exists for two or more Senior Lawyers to join the Legal Division, within the People and Executive Services Group, Department of Education and Training.

The Legal Division consists of two branches:

 •            Commercial and Legislation branch (CAL); and

•             Workplace and Education Law branch (WEL).

Lawyers in the Legal Division provide technical and complex legal analysis, legal advice, legal policy, project management and effective stakeholder engagement.
