Senior Officer - Insight Implementation

An exciting opportunity exists for two motivated team players to join the Insight Implementation Unit within the Accelerated Performance Branch. Insight is an online assessment platform, used across government schools in Victoria. Teachers rely on the results of these assessments to evaluate and inform effective teaching practices within the classroom. The Insight Implementation Unit is responsible for providing advice and support in the use of the Insight Assessment Platform to teaching staff. The Unit liaises with and provides key information to DET divisions and branches about the data and reports produced by Insight, as well as the functionality of the Insight Assessment Platform.

Senior Officer - Insight Implementation x 2 Positions

Ongoing - Full Time

The Senior Officer - Insight Implementation is responsible for the development of implementation advice and support to school staff who use the Insight Assessment Platform.

This role will require you to attend key events and forums to promote teacher use of and engagement with the Insight Assessment Platform and to deliver workshops, in person and through the use of online training systems.

You will be required to answer emails and telephone calls from teaching staff wishing to know more about the Insight Assessment Platform. This will include providing operational advice and how to effectively use assessment results to inform and develop effective teaching practices.

You have a focus on quality service delivery and an ability to engage a range of stakeholders. A skilled presenter, you understand the needs of your target audience and deliver information that is tailored to their needs. You are be able to quickly identify issues and suggest possible responses to management.

You have a sound understanding of assessment principles and how the role that effective assessment practice plays in ensuring quality curriculum delivery in Victorian schools.

You have demonstrated the ability to work collaboratively within and across multidisciplinary teams to ensure that delivery of prescribed outcomes. The idea of working as a contributing member of a dynamic and enthusiastic unit appeals to you.

You are experienced in using a variety of IT tools to produce informative and engaging support materials in a range of formats. You understand government process and have demonstrated a capacity to work in a large and complex organisation.

You are able to read strategic, business and policy documentation and a capacity to understand conceptual and intellectual statements. You demonstrate capacity to translate strategic and conceptual statements into activities that lead to measurable outcomes.

You are a natural problem solver and have experience in developing innovative and creative solutions to meet emerging needs. You understand how to identify and mitigate risks that threaten successful implementation of projects. You are a forward planner and are able to map out actions and tasks that will lead to the achievement of strategic outcomes.
