The Stakeholder and Engagement Manager will lead the development of strategic relationships and partnerships with the key Department of Education and Training’s (DET) stakeholders as follows: 1.Implement strategies to manage the stakeholder engagement aspects for all stages of project delivery 2.Provide support and engagement to key stakeholders, relevant professional organisations and peak associations 3.Identify and respond to issues associated with projects and develop mitigation strategies in consultation with management 4.Provide expert stakeholder engagement advice and support to the Principal in Residence and Senior Executives community engagement and stakeholder management strategies.

Regional Principal Forum Stakeholder and Engagement Manager

Fixed Term - Full Time (14 Months)

The Stakeholder Engagement Manager will develop and implement engagement strategies for key stakeholders/stakeholder groups. The successful candidate will be a skilled communicator, be adaptive to change, engender a positive culture and implement a dynamic approach to communications and stakeholders relations.

To succeed in this role, you will have demonstrated a high capacity to:

  • Ensure stakeholders are recognised as partners in the development and delivery of the department's strategic goals, specifically through large conferecnes and adult learning professional development
  • Track and report on priority work projects communication and stakeholder engagement milestones
  • Have excellent negotiation, interpersonal and communications skills and preferably be tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline with a sound knowledge of stakeholder engagement principles
  • Develop and implement stakeholder engagement strategies including informing, consulting and involving stakeholders where relevant and evaluating the effectiveness of these strategies
  • Finds innovative solutions to resolve stakeholder issues
  • Identify and respond to stakeholder's underlying needs
  • Identify issues in common for one or more stakeholders and build mutually beneficial partnerships
  • Use understanding of the stakeholder's organisational context to ensure outcomes are achieved.
