Manager - Online Learning Design

The purpose of this role is to support the development of online delivery of professional learning for Principals and Assistant Principals through the Area Principal Forums and Regional Principal Forums. A strong focus on leading innovative online adult learning design and development is a critical aspect of the role. The Manager will be responsible for developing and coordinating online content, and supporting facilitators in the use of innovative information and communications technologies that support and enable online learning. High level capacity to write appropriate documentation and develop presentations and online learning strategies will be required as part of this role.

Manager - Online Learning Design

Fixed Term - Full Time (14 Months)

To succeed in this role, you will have demonstrated customer management skills, an understanding of the education environment and strong analysis and interpretation skills. In addition, you will have excellent negotiation, interpersonal and communications skills and preferably be tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline with a sound knowledge of project management principles.

You will join the team at an exciting time as a brand new suite of learning modules needs to be created. Your primary responsibilities will be to develop learning modules. You will also train staff in functionality and utilize your editing skills to rework descriptive content making it interactive and adult learning friendly. Experience in the following is required:

  • Instructional design and development of e-Learning modules, including developing interactive activities and assessment
  • The ability to enable the design, development and evaluation of blended learning, and the development of new approaches to Learning, Teaching and Assessment. This includes the uptake, development and evaluation of eLearning technologies, resources and pedagogies that will build the capabilities of our school leaders to enhance teaching quality that will significantly influence high student learning growth and achievement across the system.
