Project Support Officer

The Project Support Officer is responsible for supporting the logistics of a major event. Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): 1.Full event and conference project management (pre, on the day and post) 2.Procurement and facilitation of venue 3.Catering and audio visual services for presentation ceremonies 4.Copy writing for communications and promotional requirements of the events 5.Preparing ministerial and event briefs 6.Liaising with internal and external clients, suppliers, partner organisations and colleagues as necessary to ensure the meticulous planning and implementation of the award and conference programs.

Project Support Officer

Fixed Term - Full Time (14 Months)

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly self-motivated team player with great internal stakeholder relations and a proven ability to create and deliver an event and conference from start to finish.

The successful applicant  will need strong communication skills. This role also includes a key adminstrative support for the Director.

To succeed in this role, you will have demonstrated customer management skills, an understanding of the Department of Education and Training central office environment and strong policy analysis and interpretation skills.

In addition, you will have excellent negotiation, interpersonal and communications skills and preferably be tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline with a sound knowledge of project management principles.
