Senior Project Officer

Inspired by an international evidence base, Professional Practice and Leadership's workforce reforms seek to lift teacher quality through building leadership capacity. We know that teacher quality is the largest in-school driver of student outcomes. Critical to effective implementation of the Department's multi-year workforce reform is the effective communication of reform initiatives across the Department's stakeholders. The purpose of this role is to coordinate the strategic communication of the Professional Practice and Leadership Division's workforce reforms.

Position Details

Senior Project Officer

The Professional Practice and Leadership Division's reform work ranges from initial teacher education right through to building the capacity of our school principals and system leaders to ensure excellence in education for all students.

This role will lead the strategic communication of workforce reforms and navigate the complexities of managing a challenging range of stakeholders at the system level.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management. Strategic policy analysis skills will be highly regarded.

Knowledge of one or more of the following content areas is also desirable: initial teacher education; higher education and training environments; performance and development; workforce planning; recruitment and selection; teacher effectiveness; and school improvement.

Strong candidates will speak to their experience in government program and project implementation.
