Senior Implementation Officer

The Victorian Government's Literacy and Numeracy Strategy articulates a vision for lifting literacy and numeracy achievement by directly and systematically influencing classroom practice. This role supports the coordination of professional learning design, development and delivery of the suite of Literacy and Numeracy courses and workshops implemented by the Bastow Instutite of Educational Leadership (Bastow) in support of the strategy. A strong focus on internal and external stakeholder engagement will be a large part of the role. The successful applicant will primarily be responsible for co-odination across Bastow literacy numeracy project teams. School and/or Department of Education and Training experience with an understanding of literacy and/or numeracy content knowledge will be an advantage.

Position Details

This implementation role will drive the connections between professional learning provision of Literacy and Numeracy initiatives to build the capabilities of regions, principals and school leaders to support improved outcomes in classrooms. A strong focus on internal and external stakeholder engagement will be a large part of the role.

It will be imperative for the applicant to develop a good understanding of the organisation, roles and responsibilities and the specific resources to draw on for support. The person will have strong problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical abilities matched with sound communication skills in order to research, analyse, develop, prepare and deliver advice on program implementation and progress. Excellent interpersonal skills and a sound understanding of project management processes will also be essential to the role in order to clearly communicate options and processes, and facilitate effective engagement with key stakeholders.
