SSS Speech Pathologist

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly self-motivated team player to provide Speech Pathology services to schools in SMA. The successful applicant will initiate, develop and implement student wellbeing programs within a school network and provide high-level speech pathology support services to improve student learning to schools. Collaboration with and provision of advice to other SSS team members in respect to complex cases as well as the ability to support teachers in the development of educational programs, particularly in respect to students with additional needs, are key components of the role. The successful applicant will be able to provide advice that will influence the development of teaching and learning strategies, prepare policy advice for consideration by the school leadership team, as well as possess sound written and verbal communication and analytical skills.

Position Details

An exciting opportunity is available for a suitably experienced Speech Pathologist to work in a dynamic team in the Southern Melbourne Area.

This is a 0.6 FTE Fixed Term position with an immediate start.

The aim of this position is to provide educational Speech Pathology services as part of a team of Allied Health professionals, working with schools, students and families/carers to facilitate improved health and wellbeing among students.

The SSS teams work collaboratively with schools and an Area based multidisciplinary team to support individual student emotional health and wellbeing.

Supervision and peer support is available within the team.
