Position Details
This role leads implementation of the Middle Years Literacy and Numeracy Support (MYLNS) initiative, a high-profile, state-wide program which supports secondary students who are at risk of finishing school without the literacy and numeracy skills needed for future work, further education or training.
The Manager's key responsibilities include:
- leading and developing a team of approximately 6 staff
- coordinating and sequencing implementation of the initiative
- leading the development of guidance and resources to support implementation
- leading the design and implemention of professional learning to develop workforce capability
- monitoring, reporting and refining delivery through collection and analysis of implementation data.
The successful applicant will be required to actively model highly effective engagement and communication practices to influence practice change in others. The Manager will develop productive relationships with regional and central office staff to support the collaborative implementation of MYLNS.
