Position Details
An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated Occupational Therapist to provide services to primary and secondary schools in the Western Melbourne Area. The successful applicant will collaborate with other members of a multi-disciplinary Student Support Services (SSS) team, to provide consultation, assessment, support, and program advice for students. The role requires analysing the occupational roles, strengths, needs, and challenges necessary for children to engage in their everyday activities and participation in the context of their school life. You will plan and implement appropriate occupation-based interventions to improve the health, wellbeing and academic outcomes of students.
Our dynamic team comprises Speech Pathologists, Psychologists and Social Workers. You will also work with other Area and regional staff, such as, Education Improvement Leaders, Visiting Teachers, School Nurses and Professional Practice Leaders to improve learning and wellbeing outcomes in schools.
