Position Details

An exciting opportunity is available to join the high functioning Early Childhood Improvement Branch (ECIB) team in Goulburn Area as a VPS3 Early Childhood Support Officer, 1.0 FTE ongoing.

As an Early Childhood Support Officer (ECSO), you will provide support to the Branch using excellent communication, organisational and time management skills. You will have the ability to learn and develop knowledge of the early childhood sector.

As an Early Childhood Support Officer, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary Area-based team that is building the capabilities of early childhood service providers and focused on delivering improved outcomes for children. The position will support the implementation of systems and processes, data collection and analysis, and coordination of networks and groups on behalf of the Branch. The position will provide a strong customer service focus, supporting the early childhood sector with information and advice on School Readiness Funding and Three-Year-Old Kindergarten.

The role will:

  • Provide support and respond to kindergarten services with straightforward queries about School Readiness Funding and Three-Year-Old Kindergarten
  • Provide administration and project support to the Branch, particularly the Early Childhood Improvement Branch Manager and other ECIB team members.
  • Act as a conduit between early childhood services providers and the Early Childhood Improvement Branch.
  • The role is in Goulburn Area, with offices located in Seymour and Shepparton.
