The Regional Services Group (RSG) is the face of the Department across Victoria. Successful outcomes for children and young people are at the centre of everything we do. There are Regional and Area teams in locations throughout the state. The Area teams lead our place-based approach to service delivery and are responsible for managing this delivery through our schools and early childhood providers in local communities right across Victoria. Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Secretary - Strategic Implementation Regional Services Group, this position has been established to facilitate the effective and efficient management and coordination of the Regional Services Group’s (RSG) operational functions and strategic oversight of the management of issues.

Position Details

Executive Director - Planning, Coordination & Operations

Fixed Term up to 2 Years

Salary Range: $202,489 - $324,100

Under the leadership of the Assistant Deputy Secretary, RSG, the Executive Director, Planning, Coordination & Operations will work closely and collaboratively across the Department and the Group to Provide strategic oversight of the Group’s operational accountabilities, including effective and efficient management of purchasing, finance, accommodation, human resource, fleet and financial responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have sound commercial acumen with a record of innovation and strategic reform. You will have a strong background in public sector policy and project management. You will have a high level of evaluative and analytical skills coupled with a proven track record in anticipating and managing risk.

With sound knowledge of government policy and processes you will have leadership experience in a complex and evolving public sector organisation. Presenting with excellent interpersonal and networking skills, you will have demonstrated experience in influencing a diverse range of stakeholders. With a collaborative leadership style you will contribute to the outcomes of a key Government Department whilst developing and managing a high performing team.
