The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the a diverse group of staff in the newly created Health, Wellbeing and Specialist Services Branch, who are members of a larger area-level multi-disciplinary team. Key functions in this Branch, some of which are shared across multiple areas, include: health, engagement and wellbeing initiatives and programs e.g. resilience, inclusion, respectful relationships; disabilities coordination; primary and secondary school nursing; Visiting Teachers; and Specialist Children's Services.

Position Details

This role will participate as a member of the area's leadership team, assisting the Education Area Executive Director and Senior Education Improvement Leaders to establish and promote local structures to support and promote the health, wellbeing and engagement of children and young people. It will also maintain strong relationships with key health and wellbeing functions in the region's Early Childhood and School Support Division. The role is responsible for between 10 and 30 FTE depending on location. It is required to promote and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external early childhood, education and health stakeholders, facilitating wrap-around support for children and young people, a school or group of schools, or a system-wide issue.
