Manager Youth Pathways and Transitions

The Manager Youth Pathways and Transition's key responsibility is to lead the development and implementation of Government/Departmental reform projects and policy relating to transitions from early childhood services, through schooling and into further education. This role will provide leadership, advice and support to area-based teams for a range of partnership and school improvement projects designed to ensure effective pathways and transitions for young learners and vulnerable children 0-18. The position requires the development of effective relationships with regional area teams, central DET teams, Local Learning and Employment Networks, community service providers, registered training providers, early childhood services, schools, and higher education providers

Full time - Fixed term 

The position is fulltime for a fixed term period, commencing on 11 November 2017 to 31 December 2020.

To succeed in this role, you will have demonstrated management skills, an understanding of the education environment and strong policy analysis and interpretation skills. In addition you will have excellent negotiation, interpersonal and communications skills and preferably be tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline with a sound knowledge of project management principles.
