A wonderful opportunity exists for a person to be part of the Northern Mallee, Student Support Services Team (SSS) as Psychologist. The SSS in the Northern Mallee network is made up of Speech Pathologists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Welfare Worker, administration officer, Visiting Teacher, Leading Teacher and a Team Leader. Occupational Therapy is outsourced as needed. The SSS team is based in one location at Ranfurly Primary School in Mildura in their own office / work area.

Position Details

This role will involve providing quality and timely psychology support services to school aged child to improve student learning in government school. The successful applicant will work as part of a strong and committed multidisciplinary team to support schools to ensure successful outcomes for students. The successful applicant will have a passion for working with schools and young people to maximise student well-being and engagement. 

This role will involve undertaking psychology assessments and assisting schools with the process of applying for additional funding under the Program for Students with Disabilities, and offering appropriate advice regarding additional well-being issues.

If you enjoy working as part of multi-disciplinary team to support young people, then this role may be for you. Your capacity to build strong relationships and networks with agencies and other stakeholders will be critical, so you can deliver high quality, timely service outcomes. As a member of this team, you will have access to a car to travel to various school locations (subject to availability), an iPad, laptop and mobile phone.

It is mandatory for this position you a have graduate or post-graduate qualification in psychology; and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA). This position is based in Mildura.
