Early Childhood Performance and Planning Advisor

The role of the Early Childhood Performance and Planning Adviser involves understanding community needs and the services across a range of program areas. Critical to the role is building partnership relationships with a range of service providers and developing the capacity of these service providers to deliver quality programs within their local communities, particularly for more vulnerable children and families. To be successful in this role you will need to be a team player and have high-level interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills, along with experience in stakeholder management and building effective partnerships.

Position Details

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly self-motivated team player to work across a number of policy and program areas in the Southern Melbourne area of the South Eastern Victoria region. The successful applicant will be a member of the newly formed Early Childhood Improvement Branch in Southern Melbourne with stakeholder management responsibilities for a wide range of programs within the Early Childhood Reform Program. A key focus of the Reform is improvement of the learning and development trajectory for children living in vulnerable circumstances. Strong influencing and negotiating skills in the management of stakeholders are key skills in this role.

Experience in early childhood or community services and any of the early childhood portfolio areas is highly desirable.

Relevant tertiary qualifications in early childhood or a related field are desirable.
