Position Details

The Regional Services Group comprises 17 Areas within four regions across the state, as well as four central Divisions. The responsibilities of RSG include:

• Service delivery including performance, contract management, funding delivery and acquittal

• Program implementation including detailed implementation planning and delivery

• Local area engagement, advice, support and partnerships

• Workforce capability development, professional practice leadership and delivery

• Emergency management including critical incident response.

The primary responsibilities of the Senior Regional Pathways Officer will be to assist in building the capacity of schools to develop sustainable partnerships with industry, employers, Local Learning and Employment Networks (LLEN), TAFE and other registered training providers as well as higher education providers to support the delivery of Head Start and other school based apprenticeships and traineeships, VET and the suite of careers reforms in government schools. This includes supporting the establishment of local School-Industry Roundtables and supporting the operations of local Head Start cluster arrangements.

It will be imperative for the Senior Regional Pathways Office to develop strong and productive relationships with key stakeholders across and beyond the Department and actively model highly effective engagement and communication practices to influence practice changes in others. Content knowledge of implementation policy and practice is highly desirable.
