Position Details

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated Speech Pathologist, Allied Health professional to work as part of a local multidisciplinary team of SSS Psychologists, Speech Pathologists and Social Workers to provide comprehensive student support services to improve student outcomes. The AH2 Speech Pathologist position is in South Eastern Victorian Region - Outer Gippsland Area for a fixed term period from 15 July 2019 to 8 May 2020 for 0.5 FTE. The position to cover a family leave vacancy and is currently located in the Sale DET office with the Wellington Network team but as an Area position the successful applicant can be requested to undertake work across the Area if required.

Student Support Services (SSS) assist children and young people facing a range of barriers to learning to achieve their educational and developmental potential through the provision of a range of strategies and specialized support at individual, group, school and network levels.

You will provide a comprehensive range of Speech Pathology service to school aged students to improve student wellbeing and learning. You will have highly developed communication, networking and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to liaise with a range of people in the education community and support services.
