Position Details

LOOKOUT Education Support Centres were introduced in 2017 in each of the Department of Education and Training's four regions. LOOKOUT Centres work with, and build the capacity of, schools, early childhood services, carers, child protection practitioners and OOHC services to improve educational outcomes for children and young people in OOHC. Each LOOKOUT Centre is led by an experienced school principal and staffed by multidiciplinary teams of education specialists, allied health professionals, Koorie cultural advisors and administration officers. 

Qualifications

  • Desirable: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Work or relevant discipline.

To be successful in this role you will have excellent interpersonal, negotiation and analytical skills, and will possess a strong understanding of the early childhood service system. You will play a lead role in improving the access and quality of early learning experiences for OOHC children.
