Specialist Children’s Services (SCS) is a program within the Health, Wellbeing and Specialist Services Branch in the South-Western Victoria Region providing early childhood intervention services (ECIS) to families, caregivers and early childhood educators of pre-school aged children with a disability or developmental delay.

SCS have a part time, 0.5 Allied Health 2, fixed term position from 1/04/2017 to 31/03/2018 available for an Occupational Therapist based in Warrnambool.  This role involves working with and through children’s families, caregivers and early childhood educators with the aim of providing children with experiences and opportunities that enable them to participate meaningfully in home and community environments.  Children are supported by the program to make successful transitions through their involvement in early education and care settings.

The role involves providing consultation to other SCS staff, families and to early childhood education and care settings.  The successful applicant will work in a highly motivated and supportive transdisciplinary team.  Graduates or less experienced workers are welcome to apply and if successful will be provided with appropriate supervision and mentoring.
