Position Details

Senior Policy, Funding and Accountability Officer

This is an exciting opportunity to identify opportunities for improving student and school outcomes through State funding. The successful candidate will:

  • be responsible for leading and administering the Non-Government Schools Funding Accountability Framework and funding instruments to ensure recipients meet funding conditions and accountabilities.
  • maintain an understanding of policy drivers that influence funding to manage risk and drive continuous improvement.
  • contribute to the development of policy advice and briefings.
  • work collaboratively with key government, Catholic and independent school stakeholders, to implement funding policies, guidelines, and processes.
  • build strong relationships and networks with agencies and government departments.
  • provide evidence-based advice to support the development, review, and refinement of operational policies.
  • work comfortably within complex regulatory and funding frameworks.

The position reports to the Manager, Non-Government Schooling and Sector Support and will have the opportunity to work flexibly to support priorities across teams.
