Position Details

A VPS5 Senior Policy Officer job share role is available in the Family Violence Reform Unit of the Department of Education and Training. This is a part time position at 0.6/3 days a week, as part of a job share arrangement. The role is available now (start date by negotiation) to 1 August 2023.

The Family Violence Reform Unit coordinates DET's response to the Royal Commission into Family Violence, including providing policy advice on Whole of Government family violence policy issues and supporting education workforces to implement the information sharing and family violence reforms.

The Senior Policy Officer role is available until 1 August 2023 and reports to the Manager, Family Violence Reform Unit. The role is responsible for designing and implementing key family violence reform activities for education workforces, such as schools, early childhood organisations and corporate areas. This role would suit an experienced Senior Policy Officer with strong skills in policy design and implementation. Your experience and skills in policy, writing and stakeholder management will be used to create high quality training and guidance to support education workforces to implement family violence reform activities, including the information sharing and MARAM reforms.
