Position Details

We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic professional to take on the role of Engagement Officer in our corporate office in Melbourne CBD.

Reporting to the Manager, Stakeholder Engagement Unit, the Engagement Officer is responsible for supporting the strategic management of relationships with key internal and external School Education Programs and Supports stakeholders.

Under the guidance of the Manager, the role is responsible for:

  • Supporting the fostering of relationships with internal and external stakeholders to develop and improve on safe, trusting two way partnerships
  • Event planning & management
  • Brief writing and correspondance management
  • Document management in line with departmental requirements funding agreement support

 Skills and Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Proven ability to establish and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Previous experience obtaining, evaluating and reporting relevant information to internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrable skills in coordinating meetings and events including preparing documents, venues, agendas, travel arrangements and other support and correspondance as required
  • Experience compiling data and managing records
  • Previous experience managing communication support including writing speeches, developing high quality briefings and presentations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong administration and MS Office skills
