This position supports the roles and functions of the Early Childhood Improvement Branch and works closely with the early years sector to provide advice and guidance. The position is based in Dandenong. The position is advertised as a 0.5 position until Mid February 2020, however, some flexibility regarding time fraction and days of work may be available for the suitable candidate. Position Details

The Early Childhood Improvement Branch ensures a dedicated team supports early childhood services in Areas. The branch has multiple responsibilities, including the delivery of School Readiness Funding.

School Readiness Funding is a new, permanent part of kindergarten funding that will give more support to the children who need it most.

 The role will:

 - Provide support and respond to kindergarten services with straightforward queries about School Readiness Funding

-  Provide administration and project support to the Early Childhood Improvement Manager and Kindergarten Improvement Advisor

- Support the Early Childhood Improvement Branch

- Act as a conduit between early childhood service providers and the Early Childhood Improvement Branch

- Support the establishment and coordination of early childhood groups and networks.

To be successful in this role you should have strong people skills and a focus on providing quality service. You will have excellent organisational and time management skills.
