The Intergovernmental Relations Branch in Portfolio Strategy and Planning Division, Strategy and Performance Group, is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual for an ongoing position as a Senior Policy Officer in our National Schools Policy Team. This role provides the opportunity to lead the development of policy projects and advice on a range of critical, high-profile issues across the early childhood and school education portfolios, and the chance to develop and nurture strong relationships within and beyond the Department of Education and Training.

• Developing and coordinating strategic policy advice on key intergovernmental negotiations and forums for Ministers and senior officials

• Leading or significantly contributing to policy projects designed to position Victoria effectively on the national stage

• Building understanding of intergovernmental issues across the Department

• Developing strong relationships with a range of internal and external parties.
