Senior Policy Officer, Performance Reporting

The Senior Policy Officer, Performance Reporting generates relevant performance insights for senior stakeholders to support the ongoing monitoring and implementation of Education State reforms. You will be responsible for synthesising complex information that draws on your strong conceptual and analytical skills as well as your written communication experience. The role requires experience in interpreting and extracting quantitative and qualitative evidence including the use of Excel and other statistical tools and concepts. Using your stakeholder engagement skills, you will be responsible for identifying relevant stakeholders, consulting on various products and insights, and managing issues. The role provides an exciting opportunity to work with leading evidence and work with others to build reports and presentations for Education State Board and Ministers.

Position Details

This is an exciting opportunity to build your skills in the translation of analysis into performance insights to inform policy, planning and review processes within DET. The successful candidate will engage with senior stakeholders on emerging findings and implications.

The ideal candidate will bring strong conceptual and analytical skills, be capable of synthesising complex information into meaningful insights and experienced in interpreting quantitative and qualitative evidence. They will be adept at managing a program of work and experienced in building partnerships to achieve outcomes.
