Speech Pathologist – Part time/Ongoing

An exciting opportunity exists for energetic self-motivated Speech Pathologist to join the Wimmera South West Area Student Support Services (SSS) to provide a comprehensive speech pathology service to schools and students. In this role, based in Horsham, you will provide high-level professional advice to schools that strongly influences student learning outcomes and wellbeing policies within a school community and wider Area.

What key qualities are we looking for?

Expert advice: You will be required to provide advice that will influence the development of teaching and learning strategies and student wellbeing programs for school leadership teams to embed in their practices.

Communication: We are looking for someone with highly developed communication, networking and interpersonal skills as liaison with a range of people in the education community and beyond is a regular activity.

Flexibility: The ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and the capability to work autonomously when required are key qualities we are looking for.

Collaborative approach: You will have the ability to undertake advanced interventions that support students and schools work collaboratively with other professionals in respect to complex cases, including supporting teachers in the development of educational programs to improve student learning, particularly for students with additional needs.
