Position Details

Reporting to the CEO and with a close relationship with the Board, you will lead a large team that manages regulatory responsibilities in the VET and apprenticeships and traineeships sectors, including leading complex regulatory investigations. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for implementing the regulatory aspects of the Victorian government's reform agenda for VET and apprenticeships and traineeships. Operating in a fast moving and lean environment, you will be willing to roll up your sleeves and make sound decisions that align to the vision and objectives of the organisation.

You are an experienced regulator with proven capability to develop high performance teams. You can empower, engage, inspire and develop your staff. With exposure to public sector environments, you understand the legislative frameworks the organisation operates within and have experience working within regulatory or legal functions. You will have exceptional stakeholder management skills to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with influential internal and external stakeholders. Importantly, you display a deep level of integrity and exercise sound judgement in your decision-making and are known for your risk management, change management and stakeholder management skills. Finally, you energise your teams to ensure continuous improvement to services to balance client and stakeholder needs with meeting regulatory obligations.
