Project Officer

The Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA) is Victoria's education and training regulator. We are an independent statutory authority working to assure the quality of education and training in Victoria. The Project Officer will play a key role in providing support to the VRQA’s implementation of the recommendations of the review into vocational and applied learning pathways in senior secondary schooling, led by John Firth (Firth Review). The role will be responsible for collation of papers for the VRQA Board Working Group, coordination of meetings and supporting the work of accreditation panels. The role will also be responsible for inputting data through VRQA's internal database (CRM), document management in SharePoint (filing system), and other tasks as required. The role will also provide administrative support to other units within the VRQA Schools portfolio.

Position Details

Project Officer - Fixed Term/Full Time until 3 Years

The Project Officer will play a key role in providing support to the VRQA's implementation of the recommendations of the review into vocational and applied learning pathways in senior secondary schooling (Firth Review). Working within a small dynamic team, the role will report to the Project Manager. The project officer, will also work with other team members and units on required tasks as directed.

The Project Officer will support the Senior Project Officer and Project Manager with tasks including collation of papers for the VRQA Board Working Group, coordination of meetings and stakeholder consultation, managing telephone and email inquiries, supporting the work of the accreditation panels,  responsibility for all data input (through VRQA CRM) in relation to applications and deeming processes related to the Firth Review, management of SharePoint sites, updating and collation of papers for Project Control Group meetings, and other tasks as required.

Additionally, the Project Officer will work closely with the Managers of the School Reviews and Registration units, in an administration capacity, assisting with data entry (through internal CRM database), document management, triaging emails and other tasks as required.

A key aspect of the role involves building and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders across independent schools, bodies representing government and Catholic schools, Independent Schools Victoria, non-school senior secondary providers, personnel in the Department of Education and Training, the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority and other VRQA stakeholders.
