The Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA) is Victoria's education and training regulator. We are an independent statutory authority that works to assure the quality of education and training in Victoria. We apply standards to education and training providers and accredit courses and qualifications. This is an exciting opportunity to join the VRQA in the role of administration officer. In this diverse role, you will contribute to the administration of quality and assurance of school registrations in Victoria. Working collaboratively in a small team you will assist in the administration of assessments and contribute to ongoing business improvements within the unit. This role provides variety through stakeholder management responsibilities and supporting the general administrative functions of the unit.

Position Details

Reporting into the Unit Manager, the Administration Officer is responsible for providing administrative support and advice in relation to the registration of schools in Victoria. 

This will involve supporting a small team, who are responsible for registering all Victorian government schools, non-government schools and non-school senior secondary providers and assessing them against the minimum standards for registration. A range of organisations offer senior secondary qualifications (VCE and VCAL) in a non-school environment, including large providers and small local providers.

You will demonstrate a commitment to collaborative processes, stakeholder management, administrative functions and team work. You will enjoying working in a small team and independently, as required, and have an ability to work with limited supervision. Furthermore, you will bring to the role a desire to share knowledge and build team processes within a well-supported team environment.

Key administrative tasks will include; maintenance of accurate database records, archiving support,  coordinating incoming and outgoing correspondence, conducting research and first point of contact for external enquiries from schools, members of the public and external providers.

This role requires working collaboratively in a busy environment, to ensure the unit functions efficiently and effectively at all times. The successful applicant will be organised and will have a keen eye for detail, excellent written and verbal communication.
