Senior Project Officer - Investigations

The Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA) is seeking a Senior Project Officer to join the Apprenticeship Field Officers Unit. The unit consists of a team of seven staff with responsibility to ensure that employers are meeting their obligations to apprentices and trainees under a training contract. This includes contract management of services delivered through an approved training agent and investigations carried out by officers within the unit.

Position Details

An exciting opportunity exists for a senior project officer who will play a key role in a small team of dedicated regulators.

This includes planning, conducting and/or coordinating complex investigations, using systems and data to identify risks and monitor the progress of investigations, preparing documentation, correspondence and briefings and undertaking regulatory projects designed to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of services.

The person in the role will be trained and appointed as authorised officer for the purposes of Part 5.5 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 to assist in the execution of field related compliance matters as required.

The successful applicant will be organised and will have a keen eye for detail, excellent written and verbal communication, and can work as part of a team and independently as required.
