Senior Policy Officer

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly-motivated individual to join a dynamic team in the Victorian School Building Authority on an on-going basis. The Strategy and Investment Unit develops advice and models which support key government school infrastructure decisions. The successful applicant will also lead the development of the Victorian School Building Authority’s overarching school asset management framework.

The ideal candidate will have strong problem solving and writing skills, experience in stakeholder management, a strong policy background and able to manage a large and varied stakeholder group.

Position Details

The Senior. Policy Officer will report to the Manager, Strategy and Investment Unit and be responsible for. leading the development of policy and priority projects. This includes preparing and coordinating reports and briefings, development of business cases, correspondence and undertaking research for. projects related to school infrastructure.

The role operates within a dynamic environment that requires a capacity to exercise sound judgement, and the ability to proactively develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to support effective, timely actions.
