Modular Buildings Program Manager

The Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) is a division of the Department of Education and Training, established in 2016, to oversee the design and construction of new schools and early childhood centres, as well as the modernisation and upgrade of existing ones.

There is an exciting opportunity to work in the role of a Program Manager in Permanent Modular Building School Buildings Program in the VSBA. The role will involve contract management of the external program manager, as well as the panel of modular builders to ensure they are meeting time, budget, quality and government policy requirements.

Position Details

There is an exciting opportunity to work in the role of a Program Manager in the Victorian School Building Authority. The position is will be in the Permanent Modular School Buildings Program within the Asbestos Reform Unit. The Program is integral to the latest stage of the largest ever removal of asbestos-containing materials from Victorian schools.

The key accountabilities of the successful candidate will be to:

  • Develop, consult on and implement project plans
  • Consult with schools, DET and industry stakeholders
  • Oversee the works and manage all risks to budget, time, quality, and legal and policy compliance
  • Performance manage program manager and contractors, by ensuring contractual obligations are met and seeking continuous improvements
  • Regularly report progress to VSBA executives
  • Manage all communications associated with projects
